There has been a lot of buzz generating in healthcare regarding the notion of securely text messaging patients due to its efficacy, efficiency and customer service.

Communicating with your provider through patient portals can become cumbersome and lengthy. For example, you have to go into your email app, click a hyperlink, enter a password, send a message, wait for a reply and then do the same thing when you get a reply from the provider’s office.

Developing M.E.D.X Patient was motivated by our own personal experiences of trying to communicate with our own providers through patient portals. We wanted to make this exchange of information as secure as a portal, but as easy as SMS and I think that we accomplished that goal!
